Police arrest suspect in Alabama wrongful death

The Huntsville Times reported that the Huntsville police arrested a man and are looking for one more suspect in relation to the fatal shooting of a recent Alabama A&M graduate. 

The man they currently have in custody is being charged with capital murder and is being held in jail without bail. 

Those investigating the Alabama wrongful death have not yet released a motive for the shooting or the name of the other suspect in the murder. 

Two men were in the truck with the victim when the shots were fired. The victim of the Huntsville wrongful death was found in the back of his truck.

Two hurt in Birmingham auto accident

The Birmingham News reported that a group about 20 people witnessed an Alabama car accident while participating in a roadside vigil held Sunday to commemorate four teenagers that died in a car accident on Friday.

Two Birmingham auto accident victims were sent to the hospital after an accident that happened less than 50 feet away from the vigil.

The Alabama car accident happened when the tire on blew out on a vehicle, forcing it into the middle lane where it was hit by a pickup truck.

The car careened into a shallow ravine in the accident, and witnesses say an 18-wheeler narrowly missed running into the crashed vehicles in the auto accident.

Pair sought in connection with Huntsville wrongful death

Police are looking for two people who might be responsible for shooting a Tuskegee man to death in the have been in the truck with a Tuskegee man when he was shot to death early Tuesday, according to The Huntsville Times. 

The victim of this Huntsville wrongful death was shot multiple times, and was found slumped in the back seat of a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado. 

He was rushed to Huntsville Hospital, where was pronounced dead. 

Authorities are searching for a pair of the wrongful death victim’s companions, but are unable to say if they are suspects or witnesses.

City at risk of violating EPA rule

The Huntsville Times reported that new limits on ozone levels are set below the city’s average reading, and residents may be at risk of Huntsville environmental injuries.

Huntsville’s environmental danger may be violating federal ozone standards for the first time since the passage of the Clean Air Act in 1970.

 

While North Alabama is in the midst of a drought, Huntsville’s air pollution levels may remain above the new EPA standard for a while, which could get the city tagged as a “nonattainment” area for ozone.

An official with Alabama Environmental Management Commission member from Huntsville said the board will try to stay in compliance with the tighter standards as it governs the Alabama Department of Environmental Management and sets policies for the state in the hopes of avoiding Alabama environmental injuries.
