Bio
Robert McKim Norris, Jr. was born in Charleston, South Carolina, in December 1949.
He spent most of his early life in the Hampton Roads and Norfolk areas of Virginia before moving to Birmingham, Alabama, more than 40 years ago. A graduate of Brigham Young University, with a bachelor’s degree in finance, he later received his Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Samford University. Robert earned his Juris Doctor from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University and was admitted to the Alabama State Bar in 1976.
As national leader in consumer awareness and an innovative mass media specialist, Robert has created a compassionate and efficient environment for providing expert legal services to thousands of people who may otherwise have been unable to secure legal representation.
He has represented, coordinated, and assisted in the recovery of millions of dollars for individuals who have been affected by asbestos exposure, negligent personal injury, or the wrongful death of a loved one.
Robert was instrumental in the founding of Proctor U and is involved in many community, church, civic, and educational endeavors. He is an inspirational and effective public speaker. He has pursued business and personal interests in more than 30 foreign countries.
Robert is an avid, studied, and well-informed nutritional expert and fitness enthusiast. He is affectionately considered to be a neat freak by friends and family and has an extensive personal library of nonfiction, philosophical, educational, and personal development books and recordings. Robert enjoys reading, playing golf, “fixing stuff,” and spending time with his wife, eight children and 29 (soon to be 32) grandchildren.
