Alabama seafood will not lead to Alabama environmental injuries

The tragic Gulf oil spill has undoubtedly left many people and animals in desperate situations. With oil continuously gushing into the Gulf, officials are of course concerned about seafood contamination and the risk for environmental injuries as a result.
However, according to NBC13, officials have deemed Alabama’s seafood safe to eat and Alabama environmental injuries as a result of consuming the food is not a concern.
President Obama declared Alabama seafood safe and stated that measures would continue to insure its safety so that citizens do not suffer Alabama environmental injuries due to seafood consumption.
Though Alabama seafood may not be a risk for Alabama environmental injuries, there are plenty of other risks as a result of the Gulf oil spill.
