The Tuscaloosa News reported that a local expert is concerned about coal ash becoming a Mobile environmental danger.
The man went to observe the coal ash damage in Tennessee last December and was so shocked by what he saw that he decided to look into the plants in Alabama. So far, he has found two plants contributing to the Alabama environmental danger.
The expert understands the necessity of burning coal for energy, but he is looking for better ways to dispose of the waste so they can avoid Mobile environmental dangers.
