A Huntsville resident was injured as the result of a single-vehicle accident this past week. An article from WHNT 19 News said the crash happened Friday evening at the intersection of Governors Drive and Monte Sano Boulevard.
Reports indicate the man was traveling westbound on Governors Drive when he attempted to make a sharp left onto Monte Sano. The driver lost control of the SUV during the maneuver. The vehicle then left the roadway and rolled several times before coming to rest.
The driver was trapped inside the wreckage for roughly 20 minutes while rescue crews worked to extricate him. The victim was then taken to a Huntsville hospital for an examination and treatment.
While single-vehicle accidents are often blamed on driver error, what many fail to realize is that a vehicle’s design may be at fault for causing an accident. Research has shown the narrow wheelbase and large tires on many vehicles can play a significant role in an Alabama SUV Rollover accident. When this is the case, an injured victim of a car accident may be able to seek compensation for damages from the manufacturer of the vehicle.
The Birmingham Personal Injury Lawyers with Norris Injury Lawyers have experience filing a claim for such an accident and would encourage anyone who has been injured in an SUV rollover to explore their legal options for compensation following such a crash.
